[Short Biography]

Dr. Gong received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He is now a post-doctor in Electronic Engineering Department at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. From July 2012 to January 2013, he was a visiting student at Institute of Digital Communications, University of Edinburgh supervised by Prof. John Thompson. He is a co-author of the paper "Cell Zooming for Cost-Efficient Green Cellular Networks" which won the second IEEE ComSc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Paper Award in 2013. His research interests include cooperative transmission in cellular systems, energy harvesting technologies, and green wireless communications.
