[Short Biography]

Dr. Zhenyu Zhou received his B.E. degree in Communication Engineering from the School of Information Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, China in 2006, and M.E. and Ph.D degree in Global Information and Telecommunication Engineering (Supervised by Prof. Takuro Sato, IEEE Fellow) from the Graduate School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies (now Department of Computer Science and Communications Engineering in the Faculty of Science Engineering), Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan in 2008 and 2011 respectively. From September 2011 to September 2012, he was the chief researcher at Department of Technology, KDDI, Tokyo, Japan. From September 2012 to now, he is an Associate Professor at School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, North China Electric Power University. He is also a visiting researcher the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He has co-authored the book “Smart Grid Standards-Specifications, Technologies, and Requirements ” (John Wiley & Sons Press) with Prof. Takuro Sato from Waseda University and Prof. Daniel Kammen from University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include green wireless communications, energy harvesting technologies, and interference mitigation. He is a member of IEEE, IEICE, and CSEE.
