To<br \/>\nfurther improve the quality of service (QoS) of MCC, cloud<br \/>\nservers can be deployed locally so that the latency is decreased.<br \/>\nHowever, the computational resource of the local cloud is generally<br \/>\nlimited. In this paper, we design a threshold-based policy<br \/>\nto improve the QoS of MCC by cooperation of the local cloud<br \/>\nand Internet cloud resources, which takes the advantages of low<br \/>\nlatency of the local cloud and abundant computational resources<br \/>\nof the Internet cloud simultaneously. This policy also applies a<br \/>\npriority queue in terms of delay requirements of applications.<br \/>\nThe optimal thresholds depending on the traffic load is obtained<br \/>\nvia a proposed algorithm. Numerical results show that the QoS<br \/>\ncan be greatly enhanced with the assistance of Internet cloud<br \/>\nwhen the local cloud is overloaded. Better QoS is achieved if the<br \/>\nlocal cloud orders tasks according to their delay requirements,<br \/>\nwhere delay-sensitive applications are executed ahead of delaytolerant<br \/>\napplications.
